If you still remember the South African rapper, AKA and Nigerian afro star, Burna Boy have been fighting each other since the xenophobia situation that took place in South Africa around September in 2019, Although both were only sending each other threats only in twitter, they never really fought physically but as from AKA’s mouth, he says he didn’t really hate Burna Boy as he was responding to one of his twitter fan who might have asked him about Burna Boy since he was nominated for The Grammys 2020.
Supa Mega took to twitter to share to a fan that, even though Burna Boy didn’t win a Grammy award, he is still the most important to the Country and still a champion. “I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it’s time to move past this narrative. It’s tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement.” – AKA responded to someone on twitter.
Burna Boy was nominated to the Grammys 2020, The African giant was nominated for The Best World Music Album category alongside Altin Gün for Gece, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for What Heat, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D’Ayiti, and Angelique Kidjo for Celia, lost to Angelique Kidjo. But his twitter fans in Nigeria believes he deserved the award and will surely work hard and come back stronger for the next one. Read them below.
